Joyce Brady
Administrative Assistant

Joyce joined Mead Mortuary in 2005. She enjoys assisting families in making meaningful choices for their loved one. Although involved in several organizations in our community, her passion is serving our Veterans. She volunteers frequently to help make Barstow a better place.

Patricia Chavira
Memorial Specialist

Patricia began her work in the funeral business in 2013, but local families have seen her creativity in her floral designs for many years. Her compassion shines through as she brings loved ones into our care and helps families celebrate lives.

Melinda Johnson

Born and raised in this area, Melinda feels blessed with the opportunity to serve her community every day. Her funeral industry career began in 2003. She has been an apprentice embalmer, death certificate clerk, funeral arranger, administrative assistant, and is a licensed funeral director. She and her husband are very active in their church and are involved in many community activities.

Ray Magorno
Memorial Specialist

After retiring from a long civil service career, Ray joined the Mead Mortuary in 2006. Ray is often the first person many of our families meet when he brings their loved ones into our care. He continues his caring service during services and anytime our families may need him.

Jamie Payne
Memorial Specialist

Jamie joined the funeral industry in 2007. Her grandmother started O’Donnell Funeral Home (the first funeral service in Barstow) in the 1940’s and owned five locations in the surrounding area. Jamie loves to socialize and knows just about everyone in Barstow. Her goal is to help her families every possible way because she believes, that “a family may forget what you said but they will never forget how you made them feel”.
